Class Offerings
Kids/Tween Mixed-Level Aerial (Ages 8-12)
Students will learn movement and shapes on the aerial equipment all while having fun. This class will help develop your child’s body awareness, physical coordination, strength, flexibility, creativity, and problem solving skills. 10% discount for multiple siblings.
Level 1
Our level 1 aerial silk beginner class is designed for people who have never touched an aerial silk. Learn the basics of climbing, foot locks and beginner poses all while safely within inches off the ground. Everyone starts with level 1 regardless of physical abilities. You will learn the basics necessary to progress on the fabrics. This is a adult and 13+ class.
Level 2
Level 2 builds upon the previous level with the introduction of inversions, alternate grips, additional climbing methods, single knots/splits and compound moves that require more time on the fabrics. Teacher approval is needed to register for this class. Ask your instructor before enrolling. This is a adult and 13+ class.
Level 3
Level 3 requires longer time in the air and introduces single foot lock combinations, hip key movement, double crochet in the air, and utilizing these new methods into more complex movements. Teacher approval is needed to register for this class. Ask your instructor before enrolling. This is an adult and 13+ class.
Level 4
Level 4 adds more complex climbing techniques, cross back straddles, movements from egg beater, single knee hooks, more complex combinations from double crochet and hip key, and introduces simple drops. Teacher approval is needed to register for this class. Ask your instructor before enrolling. This is a adult and 13+ class.
Level 5
Level 5 deepens the student’s abilities and understanding of sequencing and connecting movements. In this class students will work on preparation for advanced drops as well as belay movement, windmills and slack drops. Choreography elements are explored. Teacher approval is needed to register for this class. Ask your instructor before enrolling. This is a adult and 13+ class.
Combos and Choreo
This mixed-level class focuses on increasing students’ aerial endurance and repertoire of transitions using sequencing. Each class includes a group warmup followed by a breakdown of 3-5 moves intended to be linked together at the end of each class. Students with an interest in performance and increasing their air time are encouraged to try it out! Prerequisites: Level 4+ Some skills that might be used: Single, double footlock skills, hip key and Swingseat sequences, belay, crossbacks, hip hop stands, s wrap rolls.
